A native of Mount Vernon, Lillie returned to care for aging family. After selling the family Tiger Grill Cafe, she began as an office worker at Four Courners Publishing Company, publishers of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald. Working her way up to serving as News Editor. During that "lifetime" of service to the community through her work, she retired due to health issues. Those still prevent her from the level of activity in the community she once had. She has a strong sense of need for a "one-stop-shop" for direct links to local information on events, government boards, as well as fun things to do and know about the community and its people. She is a member of the founding board for MV Now and hopes to provide two to three articles a month to the MV Now's weekly newsletter and followup publication.
