After in-person early voting closed Friday, the Franklin County Elections Office reported that 2,827 people had voted early, just over 36 percent of the 7,799 people registered to vote in the county. That is about 400 more than cumulatively voted locally in the joint primaries in March.
The Texas Secretary of State’s office reports 7,452,634 people have voted early in person, with four counties said to have, at this writing, incomplete reports. None of those on the ballot for local county offices have opponents.
Statewide races are driving the turnout this mid-term election. Particularly of interest is that for United States Senate, pitting Ken Paxton (R) and James Talarico (D); Texas Gubernatorial race with Greg Abbott (R) and Gina Hinojosa (D); Lt. Governor, Dan Patrick (R) and Vickki Goodwin (D); and Railroad Commissioner, with Bo French (R) and Jon Rosenthal (D) appearing closest in recent polls.
All eight Franklin County voting precincts will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for election day voting Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026. Voters should vote at the voting precinct in which they live and are registered. The following is a list of polling locations and addresses. Each commissioner’s precinct has two locations.
