If your favorite sport is thrifting at yard sales, then your Super Bowl is happening next weekend! The area’s largest community yard sale is Friday, May 1, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, May 2, from 8 a.m. to noon at the King’s Country Club House on Lake Cypress Springs, seven miles south of IH-30 on FM II5. This year’s sale features items from more than 100 families, and accepts cash or checks only.
“Join us for some great savings and fun purchases,” said Yard Sale Chair Karin Monson. “We have clothing, shoes, seasonal items, home décor, toys, kitchen items, jewelry, purses & luggage, books, artwork, furniture, home improvement, camping gear, sporting goods, fishing gear, lawn & garden, water toys…and more!”
The King’s Country Yard sale is celebrating its 33rd year, and around 60 volunteers help set up, stage merchandise, and assist customers on sale days.
