Franklin County 4-H is celebrating National 4-H Week, October 4–10, 2026, with a special recognition from the Franklin County Commissioners Court.

Texas 4-H State Council officers Sullivan B. and Addison P. appeared before the court to present a proclamation recognizing the week. The two young leaders spoke on behalf of 4-H and shared the importance of a program that gives youth opportunities to learn, serve, and lead.

National 4-H Week celebrates the accomplishments of 4-H members and the people who support them. Through hands-on projects, public speaking, community service, and leadership opportunities, Franklin County 4-H members build skills they can use throughout their lives.

The proclamation presentation was a chance to recognize the work of local members and to thank the volunteers, families, and community leaders who help them succeed. Franklin County 4-H invites everyone to join in celebrating its youth during National 4-H Week.
