We are pleased to announce the opening of a special website for Mount Vernon Tigers athletics at mvnow.org/tigers.
Setting up a central place for Tigers sports has been one of the main projects that the board and I have been working on over the last few months. Now, that idea is becoming a reality. Even though we have a number of other ideas and features that we hope to bring in, we are happy with what the new page provides our community from the very beginning.
In the future, the Tigers page will serve as the main source of Mount Vernon sports news and information. On it, visitors can obtain the scores, game summaries, schedules, rosters, announcements, and all other important updates in a single, convenient location. We ask parents, students, alumni and friends of the district to save the page and check it regularly for the most recent news regarding our teams and student-athletes.
Help Us Keep the Community Informed
The impact of such a resource is greatest when the whole community gets involved. We would like to receive assistance from coaches, parents, volunteers and supporters in providing up-to-date and accurate information, such as changes to the schedule, delays due to weather, the current scores and all other updates concerning the team.

Since our weekly Thread comes out on Sunday mornings, there was a small delay in providing athletics news during this first week; from now on, though, mvnow.org/tigers will be where you can find the most recent updates about the Mount Vernon Tigers.
We feel privileged to be serving our community in this new role and to help highlight the dedication, talent and achievements of Mount Vernon's students, athletes, coaches and district staff. We look forward to developing this resource together and to celebrating all that makes the Mount Vernon Tigers unique.
