Mount Vernon ISD Staff and Community,
I want to share an update on the next step in our superintendent search. At the January 20 Special Meeting, the Board of Trustees selected Impact Education Specialists to partner with us as we work to find the next leader for Mount Vernon ISD. This was a thoughtful decision, made with our students and our community very much in mind.
Impact Education Specialists uses a process that starts with listening. In the weeks ahead, they will help us gather input from staff and community members to shape a clear picture of the leadership qualities that matter most for our district. The perspectives of the people who know Mount Vernon ISD best are an important part of finding the right leader for our schools.
From there, they will begin a broad search and help the Board carefully review candidates. We will share a timeline for the process in the coming weeks, so you will know what stage we are in every step along the way.
I also want to again thank Dr. McCullough for his many years of dedicated service to our district. His leadership and genuine care for students and staff have made a real difference, and we are grateful for the strong foundation he leaves behind.
As we move into the spring semester, there is a lot to feel good about. I am confident it will be a strong and positive time for our students and staff, and I look forward to the good work that will continue across our campuses.
