What started as one family desperately searching for their missing dog has turned into something we will never forget—a community showing up when we needed them most.

Our sweet girl has been missing since Thursday, October 1, when she was last seen on Highway 115 near Wooden Acre Tool Rentals in Mount Vernon. Since then, Dustin and I have searched every place we can think of, and so many people have stepped in to search alongside us.

We have spent hours walking through woods, pastures, and creek beds. We have driven Highway 115 over and over. We have searched in the pouring rain, calling her name and hoping that around the next corner we would finally see her.

One afternoon, six of us spent more than four hours searching the woods behind our home. Sherlyn Castillo even brought a Malinois out to try to pick up our girl's scent and help track her. Still, we came home without her.

But we didn't search alone.

Kaleb Wesson, Samuel French, Sherlyn Castillo, Naomi St. John, Katie Cheshire, and Kelli Hermanson have all helped us search. Sherlyn walked miles through pastures and creek beds with me in the pouring rain, while Kelli drove roads looking for any sign of her.

Then, when a possible bulldog was reported near Highway 21 and Cove Road, we rushed there hoping it might finally be our girl. It wasn't. But when we arrived, Scott Lee and his wife, Kendra, were already searching, and Brie Buckner Bolin was driving the roads looking too.

That moment meant more to us than they will ever know.

She isn't their dog. They didn't have to stop what they were doing and look for her.

They simply saw a family hurting, and they showed up.

And that is what our community has continued to do.

People have shared our posts, called with possible sightings, sent messages, searched properties, walked through woods and pastures, driven roads, and prayed with us. Kelly Rogers and Ricky Rodgers have also offered to bring their drone out, weather permitting, to help search from the air.

In the middle of one of the most heartbreaking and exhausting experiences, our community has reminded us what it means to take care of one another.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

But we still need your help.

Our girl is still missing, and we are offering a reward if she is found.

If you live anywhere near Highway 115 or the surrounding area, please check your property, barns, sheds, culverts, wooded areas, and cameras. If you are driving, please keep watching the roads. If you see a dog that even remotely resembles her, please tell us. We would rather check 100 possible sightings that aren't her than miss the one that is.

We are exhausted. We are worried sick. And every day without her hurts.

But we are not giving up.

Please keep sharing. Please keep looking. Please keep praying that God protects our girl wherever she is and guides someone to her.

Our community has already shown us that we aren't searching alone.

Now we are praying that together, we can finally bring our girl home.

LAST SEEN: Thursday, October 1 — Highway 115 near Wooden Acre Tool Rentals, Mount Vernon, Texas.
