After 40 years in polymer science sales, my wife Jill and I built our retirement home at Lake Cypress Springs. We had been weekenders for 10 years and enjoyed spending time in the friendly town of Mount Vernon. We knew upon retirement we would want to get involved in the community. For me it was PAWS. I've been on the board of PAWS from inception and have learned a lot about non profits, city and county government as well as animal rescue and shelters.
