Public Works
Trees in Public Right of Way – The maintenance crew responded to complaints regarding tree limbs extending into the city street ROW on Mustang Drive this week. The attached picture clearly shows that the limbs were impeding traffic and would hit any larger vehicles. The crew removed the limbs which extended into the street. It is important to understand that our workers are not professional tree trimmers or arborists, nor does the city have the equipment found with professional tree trimmers. The city is responsible for limbs extending into the city streets which could cause a hazard to traffic.

Little Creek Park – Staff is waiting the notice to proceed from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department before excation begins on the swimming pool which is buried under the site of the new playground. Once the notice has been received we will begin work. The pool needs to be removed, and replaced with fill to ensure the soil can be compacted sufficently to support the new playground equipment.
