If you’ve ever walked through our shelter and thought, “Aww, look at that sweet little face!” — chances are, you’ve met Rizz.
Rizz is a beautiful black-and-white Lab mix who came into the shelter at just 2 months old. She and her siblings were found dumped along a county road, left to fend for themselves at such a young age.
And let us tell you… Rizz has quite the personality!
We like to call her “The Deceiver” because she has perfected the innocent look. You’ll walk by her kennel and see her sitting there quietly, looking up at you with those big sweet eyes and that adorable little pouty face.
She looks like she couldn’t possibly cause a single bit of trouble.
But don’t be fooled!
That sweet little face hides a rowdy, playful girl who is always ready to show you she has plenty of energy and personality. Rizz has a special talent for tearing toys to pieces, so if you give her a toy, don’t expect it to stay intact for very long! She may look like she’s sitting quietly minding her own business, but once she gets out, you’ll quickly discover the fun-loving girl hiding behind that pout.
One of our favorite things about Rizz is the way she looks at you. She’ll give you those sweet eyes and that little pouty expression that makes you feel like she’s trying to convince you that she is, in fact, the most innocent dog in the shelter. And honestly… she might just convince you.
As for other dogs, we’re not quite sure how Rizz does with canine friends, so a meet-and-greet would be important. However, she's previously been known to enjoy some company, so there may be a social side to this little deceiver that we haven’t seen lately.
Rizz has spent much of her life in a shelter, and now she deserves the chance to experience what it’s like to have a family, a home, toys to call her own, and someone who will love her goofy, playful personality.
She may be The Deceiver, but there’s one thing she isn’t deceiving anyone about — she wants to be loved!
So come meet Rizz and see for yourself. Walk past her kennel, look into those sweet eyes, and see if you can resist that pouty little face. Just remember…
