Sue Barker is a native of Mount Vernon, Texas. She has enjoyed a life of serving others and making a positive impact on her community. She is the founder of The Cole Barker Memorial Scholarship Fund which is dedicated to fostering a brighter future by supporting graduates and children’s literacy, reading, and writing development. After graduating from Mt. Vernon High School, she went on to earn her Bachelor's degree, Texas Teaching Certificate and Masters in Education from East Texas State University. Sue is a history lover, dog mom, and true cowgirl. She enjoys taking her "sidekicks" for horse back rides on the trails.
